Project Planner treats the privacy of our clients with the highest importance. This policy details the measures we take to preserving and safely guarding Our Clients and visitor’s privacy when Our Clients and visitors communicate with our systems or personnel. A detailed explanation of how we may store or otherwise use personal information about Our Clients and visitors and/or Our Clients and visitor’s organization is explained in this Privacy Policy. We collect and may use the information to provide, maintain, protect, improve our services, develop new solutions and also protect the rights or property of Project Planner Online, our clients and our partners.

Cookies – When Our Clients and visitors visit Project Planner Online, we may send one or more cookies to Our Clients and visitor’s computer or other device. We use cookies to improve the quality of our service, including for storing client preferences, improving our solutions and tracking client trends, such as how clients search.

Log information – When Our Clients and visitors access Project Planner Online solutions via a browser, application or other client our servers automatically record certain information. These server logs may include information such as Our Clients and visitors’ web request, Our Clients and visitor’s interaction with our systems, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of Our Clients and visitors request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify Our Clients and visitor’s browser or Our Clients and visitors account.

Client communications – When Our Clients and visitors send email or other communications to Project Planner Online, we may retain those communications in order to process Our Clients and visitors inquiries, respond to Our Clients and visitors requests and improve our solutions and services. Other sites – This Privacy Policy applies to Project Planner Online’s site and services only. We do not exercise control over other sites who may display our site which include Project Planner Online solutions, products or services. If Project Planner Online  becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, we will ensure the confidentiality of any personal information involved in such transactions and provide notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Information security

We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, including appropriate encryption and physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.

We restrict access to personal information to our employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it on our behalf. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.

Accessing and updating personal information

When Our Clients and visitors use the Project Planner Online System(s), we make good faith efforts to provide Our Clients and visitors with access to Our Clients and visitors personal information and either to correct this data if it is inaccurate or to delete such data at Our Clients and visitors request if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may ask individual clients to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed, corrected or removed before processing such requests, and we may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup tapes), or for which access is not otherwise required.


Project Planner Online regularly reviews its compliance with this Privacy Policy. When we receive formal written complaints, it is Project Planner Online’s policy to contact the complaining client regarding their concerns. We will cooperate with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including local data protection authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of personal data that cannot be resolved between Project Planner Online and the client.

EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Compliance

Project Planner Online complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries and Switzerland transferred to the United States pursuant to Privacy Shield.  Project Planner Online has certified that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles with respect to such data. If there is any conflict between the policies in this privacy policy and data subject rights under the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. With respect to personal data received or transferred pursuant to the Privacy Shield Frameworks, Project Planner Online is subject to the regulatory and enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.

Pursuant to the Privacy Shield Frameworks, EU and Swiss individuals have the right to obtain our confirmation of whether we maintain personal information relating to Our Clients and visitors in the United States.  Upon request, we will provide Our Clients and visitors with access to the personal information that we hold about Our Clients and visitors.  Our Clients and visitors may also correct, amend, or delete the personal information we hold about Our Clients and visitors.  An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data transferred to the United States under Privacy Shield, should direct their query to If requested to remove data, we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Project Planner Online has accountability for personal data that it receives in the United States under the Privacy Shield and subsequently transfers to a third party, as described in the Privacy Shield Principles. In particular, Project Planner Online remains responsible and liable under the Privacy Shield Principles if third-party agents that it engages to process the personal data on its behalf do so in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless Project Planner Online proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.

Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce Our Clients and visitors rights under this Privacy Policy without Our Clients and visitor’s explicit consent.
